Last Day's Keys:
The
Christian’s Essential Keys To the Last Days Puzzle
What You Need to Know to Equip Yourself to Thrive Amid ChaosBy Nancy Arant Williams |
Over the last several months the Lord has revealed to me that His plan for
the last days is like a giant jigsaw puzzle with pieces missing. His plan
is for joy, hope, provision, boldness, fearlessness, and passion for the
lost.
Yet so many believers who
truly love God are mired in fear, doubt, anxiety, illness and lack of
provision. What can we do to change that?
The first puzzle piece we lack is the provision piece. Because we will
need provision not only to keep ourselves and our families afloat, but
also to help others this is a very important key, and one that will help
us regain not only our financial equilibrium but our spiritual and
emotional equilibrium as well.
This information is from Gary Keesee whose program, “Fixing the Money
Thing” is streamed on his website at
www.garykeesee.com
His CDs, “Revolution of the
Mind, Finances”, and “The Now Revolution” were a brand new revelation to
me. The Revolution of the Mind CD is full of scripture promises that we
can use to renew our minds on the subject of God’s faithfulness, the first
step in truly learning to trust God for provision.
This is the first effective
and truthful, scripture-based explanation I’ve ever heard on how to reap
the harvest we so carefully sow inro the kingdom of God. I would encourage
you to check out his website and his CD series for yourself. In a
nutshell, he says we have mastered the concept of sowing, but we have no
clue how to reap.
On the CWG website, (Mark Virkler) one of his students, by the
name of Ben Lunis, had been learning how to dialog with God, and he heard
God say this:
This is not a typical
prosperity gospel message.
Rather it uses our faith to believe God as we visualize our gift
transferring from one kingdom to the other. I had never seen God move in
this way before, but since I’ve understood this concept, my fear and doubt
are gone, and I have a renewed passion and confidence, finally able to
believe that God really does delight in His children and want to meet our
needs. This concept has truly transformed our lives.
Pastor/Teacher Larry Hutton
discussed “How to Live Stress-Free 24/7.” He said that Jesus died to
shatter the power of every negative emotion, so that those things are now
under our dominion if we have faith to believe it is so. He said God told
him to bundle up every negative emotion and visualize setting the bundle
in a chair and then speaking to it, saying: “Jesus told me you were
coming, but He died to shatter your power, so you need to leave right now.
I take back my peace, in Jesus’ name.”
This is an amazing exercise
and it works instantly. When we take authority over them the demon spirits
have to flee, so our peace can be restored. We can truly live stress-free
24/7 if we take advantage of our dominion over the enemy.
Ask God for wisdom and discernment regarding these hindrances, and He will
bring them to mind, so you can demand that they leave in Jesus’ name.
Here I must add that we often need to verbally take back the ground that
we have given up when we sinned, opening the door to demonic activity. If
we’re stuck, unable to be set free even after confessing sin, it’s because
we have given up title deed to the ground in our lives, so we must take
back that ground in Jesus’ name.
Virkler also makes a
point to say that the pursuit of intimacy with Christ is the answer to
every question, because when we draw near, and worship He will shatter our
unbelief and empower us to hear and receive answers as never before. The
key to moving in the supernatural is to follow Jesus’ example so that we
too can say, “I only do what I hear my Father tell me.”
4. Kerry Kirkwood appeared on “It’s Supernatural” with Sid Roth, and he
spoke on, “The Power of the Blessing.” He said that often we as Christians
speak curses over what we see as evil businesses, like topless dancing
bars, wanting them to close. He said one of his parishioners had been
cursing a topless bar, asking God to close it, when God revealed that He
doesn’t want us to curse anything. Rather He wants to bless the owners
with the revelation of His love. The stunning truth is:
when we curse anything, we actually
set ourselves up in opposition to the will of God, which enables the evil
enterprise to flourish. When he began to pray that God would bless the
owners of the topless bar it soon closed and a For Sale sign appeared out
front. In other words, we are to use blessing rather than cursing, to
agree with God for a revelation of His love to those who are doing wrong.
5. Nasir Siddiki spoke on “How to Receive and Keep Your Healing.” He said
Jesus died on the cross to take sin,
sickness and death, which means
He paid the price in full, for those things. When Jesus said “It is
finished” as He died on the cross He made provision for
everything we could ever need and made everything new. In other
words, we don’t have to beg God for
what He’s already done. We just need to believe we have it, and take
it by faith. (This applies to everything, not just healing or finances. In
fact, scripture says we already have everything we need for life and
godliness, lacking nothing.)
Siddiki said we often experience instant healing but symptoms soon
reappear, making us believe we have lost our healing, when what has
actually happened is that the devil is counterfeiting that illness by
sending symptoms. They are not the same thing!
We must not change our doctrine to
fit the situation. If it happens we must instead say to God, “I know
your Word is true, so the problem is with my understanding. Show me the
truth.”
If we see symptoms return after a healing, we must continue to
believe, and speak to those symptoms, saying, “Jesus died on the cross for
my healing, which means I am healed, so every symptom must leave, in
Jesus’ name, because I refuse to believe your lies! Body, you must
cooperate and pain must leave, in Jesus’ name!” And because Jesus died to
shatter the power of death we can even pray believing that people will be
raised from the dead. It may take time, but pray and ask God how long to
pray through and He will make it clear.
7.
In the last days our most powerful weapon will be worship. This
involves soaking in His presence. John and Carol Arnott, from the Toronto
Airport Catch the Fire Revival first introduced me to the concept of
soaking. They actually set up a soaking center in their church, where
people who were seeking God’s manifest presence, brought pillows, and
would lie on the floor and simply worship in the presence of God, with
worship music playing in the background. When we set aside every
distraction and let God move inside us He will speak, heal and restore us,
opening our eyes to see things we have never seen before.
If we are intensely seeking God’s face and reading the Word, and listening
to His voice we will not fail to hear when He speaks and gives direction.
While we may live in a country that is under judgment, believers will have
the favor of God, right in the middle of chaos once we line up with the
plan of God. He has great plans for the days ahead, which means that you
and I as believers will be equipped with everything, including the
financial resources required to finance the preaching of the gospel to all
corners of the earth. So begin to live every day as if it is so, and
believe God for great things. What would happen if we each dared to dream
big for God? After all, our dreams originate with Him, don’t they?
So when Elijah was taken up to heaven, everyone, including the sons of the
prophets saw the chariots of fire and the horses of fire, but only Elisha
saw Elijah taken up, and when Elijah looked back from the chariot, he
threw down his mantle, visiting Elisha with a double portion.
From that point on, Elisha did 72 miracles, to Elijah’s 36, truly a double
portion, but one thing he did not do was to impart to others of what the
Lord gave him. That’s why when he died he took the anointing with him, so
that a soldier whose body was tossed into the grave on top of his,
actually bounced back to life in an instant. We are not to take our
impartation with us, but we are to share it and give it to others to touch
the world.
We must never give up praying, because nothing happens if we fail to pray.
Prayer does, indeed, change things.
God is a perfectionist and He designed each of us with purpose and
passion. He made us like that. Destiny is a place where you discover the
reason you are here, and once you occupy that place, operating through the
Holy Spirit, prosperity is a natural outcome, because God loves to bless
what He ordains and anoints. You have the dominion to discover your
destiny by the use of your talents to reach your little corner of the
world, and once you start operating in that destiny, God will bless you.
(See Deut. 28:9.)
We are to guard our ears, and refuse to listen to bad news, which only
produces fear. (See 2 Tim. 1:7.)
It’s easy to find ourselves saying, “I’ve always been poor. My parents
were poor and their parents before them . . .”
Jeremiah 17:7-8, & Psalm 1 say that those who love God will be blessed.
“For he shall be like a tree, planted by the waters, which spreads out its
roots by the river, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, not
will cease from yielding fruit.”
Psalm 35:27: “Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous
cause; and let them say continually, ‘Let the Lord be magnified, who has
pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.’”
God does not take pleasure in our poverty or our hunger. He takes pleasure
in prospering us.
And if we line up with God’s plan forsaking sin, there is nothing He won’t
do to bless the work of our hands if we get rid of doubt and fear.
We limit God when we doubt what He can do!
Rather He will lay it on someone’s heart to meet a specific need as we
pray specifically.
When someone is coming against us we can pray: Isaiah 54:17: “No weapon
formed against me shall prosper.”
When we want God to draw our children to Christ we can go to Isaiah 49:25,
which says, “But thus saith the Lord, ‘I will contend with him who
contends with you, and I will save your children.”
Deut. 1:11 says: “May the Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand
times more numerous than you are, and bless you as He has promised you.”
Healing: Jeremiah 30:17: “’I will restore health to you and heal you of
your wounds,’ says the Lord.”
Joan
Hunter: “God wants the release of His favor to be a sign and a wonder to
the lost, proving that He lives and rewards those who trust Him.”
Deut. 8:18: “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who
give you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He
swore unto your father, as it is this day.”
2 Cor. 9:10-11: “Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for
food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits
of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all
liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.”
The prophet
Isaiah wrote about how God would respond to those who would wait for Him
and cry out to Him. Isaiah 30:23: “Then He will give the rain for your
seed with which you sow the ground, and bread of the increase of the
earth; it will be fat and plentiful. In that day your cattle will feed in
large pastures.”
30. “True happiness and success can occur only when man’s
priorities line up with God’s priorities.” Needs include things like food,
housing, clothing, utilities, transportation, and a source of income.
Jesus told us not to worry about these things.
“Consider
the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, and
yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like
one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today
is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe
you, O ye of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying “What shall we
eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” For the Gentiles
seek all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His
righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew
6:28-33)
Joan
Hunter: “Don’t ever think that is isn’t src
Follow divine promptings; when God tells you to do something or to give a
certain amount to someone, He will provide, and make it work for you.
Keys to getting your blessing:
2 Cor. 9:11: You will be made rich in
every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us
your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”
Begin by repenting, then believing Him
for not only enough but enough to give to those places that need it.
It is unbelief that keeps Me from having
My Kingdom come on earth at it is in heaven. My people need to realize
that they are living in unbelief. They need to be set free to worship Me
in Spirit and in truth.
“In John 7:
37-19 scripture (backing up this theme) says: On the last day, that great
day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out saying, “If anyone thirsts,
let him come to Me and drink. And he who believes in Me, as the scripture
has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” After
meditating on this scripture I asked the Lord for His comments.
“It is My Spirit who brings healing. It
is My Spirit who brings deliverance. It is My way of communicating and
communing with My special creation; My people. When the flow is disrupted
through disbelief and religious practices, I cannot communicate with My
people as I desire. I want to set My people free. You are seeing the
greatest desire of My heart. Disbelief has kept so many from Me. It
grieves me deeply. Disbelief comes from religion as well as other sources.
Continue to let My Spirit be your guide. As you do your part, I will do My
part. As I said before, we are a team. As you do your part, I will do My
part. We are a team, and I want all of My people to be on My team so that
we can work together to bring healing and deliverance and hope and
freedom.
(Ben): So unbelief is not believing who You are and what You can do?
Yes, this applies to all the gifts
of the Spirit that I have available for My people. I want them to receive
My gifts. I do not want them to come up with their own ideas why they
cannot have them. That is religion at its worst.
“When I asked Him how He defines unbelief and disbelief He responded:
Unbelief is
confessing that you believe, yet you do not see the results of your
belief. Disbelief is believing that I cannot do that which I say I can do.
“A person I
know is a believer who has continuing neck pain that has not been healed
even after receiving prayer. I said, “Lord, help my unbelief to be
replaced by belief.
He responded, Too many of My people
exist in a state of unbelief even though they confess with their mouth
that they believe. It is all a result of their religious training, their
not coming to Me and spending time in My presence so that I can heal them.
Most people want a quick fix so they can go on with their lives. I do not
want them to suffer. I want them to be set free of that which has them in
bondage and in pain. In continue to knock at the doors of their hearts,
but their religious beliefs keep them from Me and My healing.
That’s
the problem with unbelief. People do not want to accept the fact that they
have unbelief. Unbelief comes in many forms. It can be outright rejection,
it can be denial, it can be “I have not seen it, so it does not work.”
There are other manifestations of unbelief. In most cases unbelief is the
cause of why I cannot heal some people. They will not accept it. Remember,
I am sovereign and I can bypass this hindrance. However, in most cases, I
choose not to do so. Just encourage people to seek Me, to seek My face, so
that I can replace their unbelief with faith. Pray that they eyes and ears
of their hearts be opened to Me. I want My people set free. I want them to
come to Me for their healing and their deliverance.
I want them to undo the learning they have received that says I cannot
do what I can do.
“How
do we deal with unbelief and disbelief? We must first recognize that each
and every one of us who has lived under the American culture and attended
its churches (there are some exceptions) has varying degrees of unbelief.
Even the original disciples of Jesus suffered from unbelief. Read about
Thomas in John 20:24-29. Think about the disciples who spent three years
with Jesus, directly receiving His mentoring and saw Him crucified. Some
of them had trouble accepting the fact that Jesus had risen from the dead.
Matthew 28:16-17: Then the eleven went to Galilee, to the mountain where
Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him they worshipped him, but some
doubted.
“Do we really believe? We may say that we do but so do the demons (James
2:19) Starting with the reformation we have been taught to readily believe
for salvation. But do we really believe that God can work through us with
His power and produce supernatural events that should be a regular part of
our walk with Jesus Christ? When was the last time that we prayed for
someone and they were miraculously healed? When was the last time we
prayed for a dead person and they came to life? When was the last time we
cast demons out of a tormented person and set them free? When was the last
time we received a spirit of revelation from God regarding the needs of
someone and we used the information to set them free through the power of
the Spirit? When was the last time we experienced all, or even one of the
gifts of the Holy Spirit desrc
There is a way to replace unbelief with belief! The way of Jesus is the
answer!
Oh, the marvelous grace of our Lord in heaven! First He reveals our needs,
our weaknesses, and then He provides the answer—Him! The way to replace
unbelief with belief is to only say and do what we hear and see Jesus do
first. Using this approach we are enabled to minister just as He did. When
we respond this way faith is restored, miracles occur and people are set
free. With God doing it first, He receives the glory. Remember, everything
that Jesus did, He did only after hearing His Father, and our Father,
speak to Him or show Him in a vision of what He was to do.
Therefore Jesus answered and was saying
unto them, “unless it is something He sees the Father doing, for whatever
the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. For the
Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing,
and the Father will show Him greater works than these, so that you will
marvel. I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge. And my
judgment is just because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him
who sent Me.
He said, I judge the thoughts that
come into My head to verify that they are in the will of My Father in
heaven. I expect you to do the same. I want you to bring every thought
into captivity and judge it to determine its source. Judge it also to know
that is the will of our Father. Know My word, both the written and the
spoken (rhema) word. Respond to the nudging of My Spirit.”
32. In order to be in
sync with Christ and the will of God we must spend time soaking in His
presence, practicing His presence, talking to Him, asking Him how He
sees things, and letting Him reveal Himself to us. If we try to come
by His will any other way, shortcutting that intimacy, we come in as a
thief and a robber, because we cannot obtain it any other way. In
other words, spend more time with Jesus!
33. We need to say in agreement with God, “Lord, I believe.
Help thou my unbelief.”
34.
Perry Stone spoke about the difference between evil spirits that
reside in the country vs. those that abide in the cities. A former
spiritist told him that she had seen them, and that those in rural areas
are the size of small monkeys, while those in the metro areas are the size
of gorillas, because evil is rampant, and goes unchecked in those places.
Apparently any time we sin we actually give place to the devil, opening
the door so he can come in and take control at least to some extent. And
when we keep sinning, instead of repenting and turning things around we
actually empower that evil spirit to grow in size and in control, to the
point that, as scripture says, a man “was given over” to a spirit, and had
no power to free himself.
At one point there were lightning storms while he and his workers were out
in the field, and the field started on fire. He called to his helpers to
pray for rain, because if his crop failed he would lose everything.
They argued that it was not the rainy season so it would do no good to
pray for rain. But he began to simply say, “God, you know I need rain.
Send it now,” or something to that effect, and the clouds began to form,
because he expected God to answer. It rained, putting out the fire, and
building his and his helpers’ faith as never before.
Another night some native women ran to his house src
37. Several years ago I read where scientists had studied the
brain and said that remarkable things happen when we learn new truths.
For instance, if you had always thought the earth was flat, so that
you could fall off the edge, and suddenly you heard that it was round
and because of gravity you couldn’t fall off, the brain begins to add
tiny branches to brain connections it already has, and the more you
thought about, meditated upon, and studied the notion that the earth
was round, the more complex the connection of branches would become,
until you were suddenly convinced without a doubt that the earth was
round. At that point it’s no longer just a foreign notion; it’s your
sincerely held belief. So when we study and believe scripture,
repeatedly meditating on God’s promises, we are actually changing the
topography of our brains, so that those beliefs become out own and are
no longer just a theoretical notion. That’s when things really begin
to happen, because we have no further doubts. The earth is round; God
keeps His promises.
38. Bill Morford had been studying Greek and Hebrew for sixteen
years and he has written what is called,
The One New Man Bible, which
uses original Hebrew and Greek words to translate scripture.
We all know
the verse in Isaiah 53:5: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he
was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon
him, and with his stripes we are healed.” In the original Hebrew the word
“stripe” is translated “fellowship”. That means our healing comes from
fellowshipping with spending time with Him, which is often why we aren’t
healed. When we fail to spend time with Him because we want instant
answers, we often see nothing happen.
We often
feel that God is not with us—that we are isolated, out on a limb alone.
But that is a lie of the devil, because one of His very names is Jehovah
Shama, which means “the Lord is here.” We
must focus, believing that not only is He with us, He is actually in us,
(Holy Spirit) and will never leave us. He is with us! He feels the pain we
feel and whatever is going on inside us, He takes upon Himself.
The word “law” should be translated as teaching or instruction. If we fail
to translate it that way it feels harsh, judgmental and unloving. But if
we translate it as teaching or instruction we once again restore the
loving mentoring relationship God intended from the beginning of time.
The order
of the Jewish scriptures is much different. The OT ends in Chronicles
instead of Malachai, which then leads to Matthew, where it flows right
into the begats and the lineage of Jesus.
scripture as normally translated describes Phoebe as a servant in a house
where Paul visited, but in reality she was a wealthy benefactor who
continually supported Paul’s ministry.
The word
‘anochi’ means “I AM.” The I Am of Purpose. Because I Am, you are.” Is.
43:11 says, “I am your only Savior.” This phrase uses a double anochi, for
double emphasis, when a single anochi would’ve been sufficient. In other
words, He is saying, “I AM, I AM your one and only Savior!”
RE:
communion: Luke 22: There were originally 3 blessings involved in
communion.
The first time they took the cup it said, “I will bring you out of Jesus.”
Then they took the bread and said, “You’re eating the meal that I prepared
for you—Myself!” (To the children of Israel He had given manna, and to us
in the NT He gives Himself to partake of!)
Ex. 6:6: refers to the second cup of wine in the communion, where
it says, “I will take you out of bondage,” in other words: “I will deliver
you from all things.” The third cup says, “Our kinsman Redeemer has come
to redeem up and take us to Himself!”
In the
original Greek we find that Paul wasn’t a tentmaker as we’ve always heard,
but he made prayer shawls!
Aaron’s
benediction in Numbers 6:24: The way we hear it: “The Lord bless you and
keep you. The Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The Lord lift his countenance upon you and give you peace.” The way it
reads in the original Hebrew is: The Lord WILL bless you and keep you. The
Lord WILL make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord
WILL lift his countenance upon you, and give you peace.”
How
important at we to God’s plan? I used to think we were incredibly blessed
but not needed. Since then I’ve learned that when God stepped back and
gave Adam dominion over the earth, He also said, “It’s your ballgame,
Adam, but I’m here for you, and I want to be involved in the process, and
if you’re honest, you know you can’t do it alone.”
So you and I are vital to God’s plan. If we don’t move, nothing
happens. If prayer changes things, what happens when we fail to pray?
39. The Power of an encouraging word—“You’re a blessing of Jesus.”
A student moved to a new school where he felt out of it, like he would
never fit in. Over time he grew more and more depressed because of his
lack of a niche. His increasing discomfort made him say foolish things and
make clumsy moves. The last straw came when he dropped an entire armful of
books in front of his locker in front of a crowded hallway full of kids.
At that moment he vowed to end it all with his mother’s sleeping pills.
Then something happened in creative writing class that he never
expected. The teacher asked each one to take out a piece of paper and
write a note of encouragement to the person sitting in front of them
then pass it to them to read. Because he was new he didn’t think
anyone would have anything good to say about him. Anyway, what was the
big deal? He wasn’t expecting much when he took the note from the girl
behind him, so he was surprised to read: “It’s obvious that you’re a
leader—sharp and mature for your age—a hard worker, reliable in every
way.” He read it again, unable to believe anyone saw such positive
traits in him. One short sentence had changed everything. That’s the
power of an encouraging word. Who can we lift by being Jesus with skin
on to those around us?
40. In my own life, my daughter walked away from God after
being molested at the age of six. Because she became harder and more
defiant I could find nothing to compliment her on, so I just kept
saying, “I love you.” I later found out that she was wounded by the
fact that I was proud of her brother, but never said I was proud of
her. Her emotional bucket needed to be filled with those words whether
she deserved them or not. And the truth is, we live up to what others
believe about us, so why don’t we believe more for others, simply
envisioning their best, and their success and watch God bless them?
41. How do you think God sees you? If you struggle to believe
God loves you it may be because you envision Him shaking His fist at
you when you do things that displease Him. (That’s the picture my
first church taught me.) If this desrc
42. Consider this: God could easily have used a cookie cutter to
cut us all out of the same cloth. But He didn’t do that—He loves the
distinctions that make us who we are. He loves the quirkiness of our
personalities that make us different from each other. DNA and fingerprints
are proof that we’re each a one of a kind individual over whom God sings a
song of rejoicing.
43. Our emotional wounds actually open the door to the enemy—so
it’s vital that we forgive ourselves, go to Jesus and soak, letting
Him take us back through a slide show of all the hurtful incidents in
our lives. His presence at those painful moments will bring healing as
never before, to make all things new, so that when His love fills us,
casting out all fear, we can also love others.
44. God not only forgives but also forgets our sins once we repent, so unless we allow the devil or our own condemned minds to keep stirring the pot of guilt, God will never bring them up again—so we shouldn’t either. 45. A quote from Henry Ford: “Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right.” In other words, we will only go as far as we believe we can, so we limit God when we refuse to believe He can do all things, and even use us to change the world. How are we limiting God? 46.. My vision: God showed me that my old hurts had caused me to build a Plexiglass wall on three sides, front and both sides, with a brick wall behind me. He said that every time I was hurt, I built that wall a little thicker and taller, trying to protect myself. Outside my wall, He was preparing a beautiful table of food before me, and I could see steam rising from each dish. He invited me to come and dine, but I couldn’t hear Him, nor could I smell the food, or taste it, because my wall had pinned me inside. He couldn’t touch or heal me because of my wall, and I certainly couldn’t participate in the meal behind my wall. He came up to my wall and said, “I understand why you built this wall, but you’ve shut me out as well, so I have a better idea. Let me take down the wall and be your protection, touching and healing those things that have hurt you.
“And if others hurt you bring those hurts and dump them in my
lap so I can deal with them and heal and restore you, so nothing
hinders you ever again.”
47. Re: opinions: We all have them, but we need to remember that
they’re filtered through our skewed emotions. The thing is, if we care to
check out God’s opinions on those issues, we often see that our opinions
are miles apart the way God feels. The question we have to ask ourselves
here is: Just because I’ve always felt that way, am I going to continue to
hold onto my old stubborn opinions, or am I ready to let God make them
new, as well?
Consider
this: When Peter was with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, he cut of the
ear of the servant of the high priest, believing he was defending Christ.
But how did Jesus respond? He restored the man’s ear, probably making
Peter feel like an idiot. In the same way we need to ask God how He sees
things, how He feels about things, and adjust our opinions accordingly if
we don’t want to be out of the will of God.
In this regard, I once did a word study
of the section of verses in Luke 14:26 where it says, “If any man
comes to me and does not hate his father, and mother and brothers and
sisters he cannot be my disciple.” By this verse Jesus actually meant
that once we know the truth about Christ and have tasted and walked in
freedom, if we return to our old ways, instead of leaving them behind,
we cannot be His disciples. So if we continue to walk in our wounds,
because we refuse to let them go, or we choose not to walk in the
freedom He offers, we are not His disciples.
48. Everything we lack, He is!
49. Re: doubt—scripture says in James 1:5-8: “But if any of you
lacks wisdom let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously, and
without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith,
without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea,
driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man expect that he will
receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all
his ways.”
Our doubt
can actually have life-or-death consequences. Not long ago I read a story
of a three-year-old boy who drowned in a swimming pool. The neighbor, who
was a Christian grabbed her husband and ran over after hearing the
terrified mother’s src
50. Perry Stone recently taught about David and Goliath in a way
I’d never seen before. Goliath was a giant, descended from the Anakim, one
of the groups that resulted from angels who had come to earth to minister
to the needs of men, but ended up falling from grace after sleeping with
human women. (Don’t believe angels can do that? P. Stone said Jesus is our
example of how spirits and take on human form when necessary.)
Goliath was
between nine and ten feet tall, the clue to his height being the weight of
his armor. His spear head alone weighed eighteen lbs. and his spear was
over twelve feet long, measuring 2.5 inches in diameter. He had to be a
huge man simply to bear the150-lb. weight of a chain-mail armor coat and
the helmet, spear and shield. David was only five feet six inches tall.
Scientist
Joe Van Koetering says that Goliath’s spear had a grip made of wound rope
glued to it, that was attached to a rope, so that whatever he speared
could be reeled in, and the spear retrieved as well. This is a picture of
what happens when Satan targets and wounds his prey, he uses the rope to
reel it in, so that it cannot escape. Spiritually speaking wounds are the
best weapon the enemy has, because wounds put a hole in the heart, through
which he can grab hold of us again and again, repeatedly targeting us as
prey.
When David
was young and strong and full of faith, he was able to use his weapons to
kill Goliath and take his armor and spear so it could never be used again.
However, when David was in his fifties he went out against Goliath’s
brother Lahmi, and tried to defeat him with the same weapons, and the
giant would’ve killed him if his mighty men hadn’t intervened. This is a
picture of what happens as we age and grow tired from the many years of
fighting, and winning against the enemy. We grow weary in well-doing, and
can’t fight the way we did when we were young. This means that we must
have the prayer support of our Christian brothers and sisters to hold our
arms up, just like Moses and others needed help at certain times. Without
that kind of prayer support we will find ourselves being attacked by old
weapons that never worked before, but are working now.
In Matt.
12:43-45 we see the story of the house that was cleaned out and the
spirits departed only to return at another time and bring other spirits
along to inhabit the house again. Satan leaves and comes back at a more
opportune time, often when we are weak and alone. That means that none of
us can afford to be ‘lone rangers’ fighting alone, for a three-fold cord
is not easily broken.
Ex. Satan tempted Jesus by saying, “If you are the Son of God cast
yourself down…If you are the Son of God turn these stones into bread…
Once Jesus
refused those temptations Satan left, only to return again while Jesus was
His most vulnerable--on the cross) and shout through those who were
nearby, “If you are the Son of God come down off the cross.”
It’s
reassuring to know that there are still smooth stones in the stream that
the washing of the water of the Word and the Holy Spirit have taken the
edges off so they fly straight to their target. And those stones can still
target our enemy the devil, but now we also need the prayer covering of
our brothers and sisters in order to make it happen.
To put it
another way, when we get a major healing as from cancer, and it comes back
later, the devil may try to tell us that God never healed us in the first
place. But this is a lie, because when it returns it’s not Goliath, not
the original “giant,” but his brother using another sword or spear. So we
must not doubt that we were healed just because Satan throws in doubt.
We must
stand with each other, knowing our enemy’s tactics, forewarned and
forearmed in order to protect ourselves and those we love.
51. The only thing that keeps us from asking for help is pride.
The harvest is truly plentiful, so why should we refuse to demand a full
harvest God has promised us. Matt 10:1—“And when he called the disciples
he gave them power to cast out all spirits and heal every disease.” (Also
see Matt. 10:28) Anything less than that is merely empty religion.
“These
signs will follow those who believe: they will lay hands on the sick and
they will recover.”
“Let every man be a liar, but God is truth.”
54. We needed a champion, and Jesus was that champion. We lost that
intimacy when Adam sinned, but our champion brought it back. Now we must
understand the past tense of God’s Word. John 19:30 Jesus is hanging on
the cross. His last words were supposed to be: “It is finished.” In the
Greek He actually shouted, “Finished!” Healing is finished. (See Is.
53:4-5.)
Mark 11:23:
Whoever says and does not doubt,
but believes these things he says will be done, he will have
whatever he says. First
believe you have them, and then you will have them. Belief comes first,
before prayer, because if you don’t believe when you pray you won’t have
it. You have power over your own body by what comes out of your own mouth.
Prov. 4:21: His words are health to our bones. If we don’t take the
medicine of His word and hold onto it as if it’s a done deal, we won’t get
well.
Matt. 9:35-37: When he saw the
people he was moved with compassion.
If we are waiting on God, pressing in, we don’t have to take less than a
grand harvest, because that’s what he wants to give us. In Matt. 10:1
Jesus gave his disciples power to heal the sick and win souls. God,
preach, saying the kingdom of God is at hand. I can prove it to you with
signs, wonders, and miracles. Mark 16: These signs shall follow. They will
lay hands on them and they shall recover!
John 6:28: Cleave to, trust, rely on and have faith in his message. God’s
Word is true, so don’t doubt even if you don’t see it demonstrated.

music, available on

67. When
Sid Roth first became a Christian he decided he would just do what Jesus
did in scripture, and believe He would use him to heal the sick and do
signs, wonders and miracles. At that time he met Kathryn Kuhlman, and she
said, “You know, I wish you lived closer to Pittsburgh, because I’d like
to mentor you.” He responded, “Why would I need that? You just do what you
see in scripture. I can do that, too.” Now he admits that was foolish,
what he calls “meshuga.”
We dare not badmouth other believers who are ‘off’, because they have
tidbits of truth, and we have tidbits of truth, so that we need each other
in order to receive the whole truth. Ex. 3 blind men are trying to learn
what an elephant looks like. One feels the tail, one feels the body, and
one feels the leg, and they all come to different conclusions, but they’re
all right, in part. Just because we’ve never seen something manifested,
doesn’t mean it isn’t real.
68. John 19:30—At the cross Jesus shouted, “Finished!” in his
loudest voice. By his stripes we are absolutely healed. Eph. 1:3 says “He
has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Messiah. That’s past
tense. They are ours, so we need to live as if it is so. When do we
receive our healing? After we have filled ourselves with the promises of
God and are willing to stake our lives on the fact that they are true.
Healing may manifest progressively, over time, in which case it is a
healing. If it comes instantly, it is miraculous. But whatever you ask
for, keep the faith plugged in and don’t lose hope, because your answer is
on the way if you don’t abort it with your mouth or your activities.
(See Numbers 10:10): The shofar
will remind the Lord of His covenant with you. Covenant means “I am the
Lord your healer, who completes what you lack.”
When we pray in tongues we are giving ourselves continually in THE prayer
(Hebrew translation) which is God’s will for us, without doubt.
78. Ps. 1
says: “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that never
runs dry.” With that promise in mind you can personalize your prayers. “I
shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that will never run
dry.” You can take those kinds of prayers to the bank.
83.
We already have our breakthroughs, our healings, and our provision, so we
must begin to live as though it is so. Everything depends on this one
thing—trusting that what God has said is true! We must declare that God is
faithful, and thank and praise Him before we see the answers, for that is
the faith—the sweet smelling fragrance that pleases God.
85. The
January 2012 David Wilkerson newsletter said something remarkable about
those who doubt God’s provision for our future. He points out that God
spoke everything into being with the words of His mouth. For example, He
said, “Let there be light, and there was light.” He also appointed the
stars, planets, sun, moon, tides and oceans to their places with a single
word, and never had to repeat those instructions once. And in the same
way, He has promised to provide for us, because we belong to Him. To quote
him, “Our heavenly Father knows what we need, and he has spoken this
eternal word, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and
all these things shall be added unto you” (Matt. 6:33).” Do you hear
Jesus’ promise here? All you need?
Christ’s predetermined word about us was settled in heaven long
before any of us were born. Our Creator spoke this word of finality, “In
every generation I will protect, keep, feed, and preserve all those who
seek me first.” That word is as firm as the word that keeps the planets in
place. In fact, the scripture actually says in 1 Timothy 5:8: “If any
provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he
hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” That means that God,
who cannot deny Himself, absolutely will provide for us, because He is no
infidel. That means it’s up to us to simply take Him at His Word and
believe what He said, for those who doubt, will get nothing.
86. Do you know why Adam and Eve suddenly realized they were naked in the
garden? Because God’s glory, which had clothed them up to that point,
suddenly departed, when they sinned, and nothing was ever the same again.
But when Jesus came, died, and gave us salvation, the glory of God was
once again restored to those who believe. That means you and I are
surrounded by the glory of God moment by moment, and all things are new,
so we should walk differently, as if it is so, asking God to reveal what
that means for us.
87. You and I are equipped, lacking nothing. If we lack wisdom, we have
only to ask of God, and He will give wisdom. Whatever we lack, He IS. He
is the Great I AM, to complete us. Like a lock and key, we and God fit
together, working together like a well-oiled machine, to win the world and
be that light and salt, that visible demonstration of the love of God to a
lost and dying world. Time is short, and we must not waste a single
opportunity, so walk in the blessing!
88. Author and speaker Cindy Trimm declares this blessing over her life
each day:
“I am blessed in the city; I am blessed in the field.
I am blessed in my down-sitting and my uprising.
I am blessed physically, socially, interpersonally, psychologically and
financially.
Every part of my life is blessed.
I speak into my government that it will align itself with the plans and
purposes of God, morally and ethically.
I download prosperity and success into every part of my day. Nothing shall
come against me, and there will be no lack or hindrances, in Jesus’ name.
I download into the lives of my loved ones prosperity and success,
blessing everything that concerns them. There shall be no lack or
decrease, only increase.
I am blessed in my business, which will have success and no decrease or
lack.
I am blessed in my home, which shall be a haven of peace.
Wealth and riches are in our lives and the lives of our children and
grandchildren (so that we may lend and not borrow, and finance the work of
the Lord in the last days!)
I bless my heart with courage, my body with health and energy, my mind
with peace.
My loved ones are coming into alignment with the plans and purposes of
God.
I am the head and not the tail. I am first and not last. I am above and no
beneath. I am loved by God, chosen by God, protected by God.
Today shall come into alignment with the plans and purposes of God for my
life and the lives of my loved ones.
Every good and perfect gift comes from God. Today is my gift, and
therefore my day will begin and end perfectly, in Jesus’ name.” And no
matter what happens if we
choose to bless God instead
of complaining we will see God work everything out for our good.
89. I recently had a revelation via personal experience. I know these
principles in my head, but sometimes we must put them into action when
challenges come. While shopping at WalMart I was loading my purchases into
my car when someone stopped to talk with me. Distracted I didn’t realize I
had left my purse in the cart, and I drove all the way home (fifteen
minutes away), before I missed it.
My first tendency was to panic. People lose their identities when their
purses are stolen. It can absolutely mess up a person’s credit for a
lifetime, if evil men get a hole of personal information. That’s exactly
what first leaped to mind when I realized I had lost my purse.
But
then I began praying. I said, “Lord, I talk a good talk about your
provision, but at times like these I get into fear and doubt, leaping
instantly to the worst case scenario. This time I’m going to do something
else. I’m going to believe that you knew this would happen, and that you
are guarding that purse with your angel warriors, so that anyone with evil
intent is prohibited and their plans thwarted. In fact, I believe and
declare that my purse is safe right now, and that nothing will be missing.
And not only that, but I will find that purse intact within the hour.”
Rushing back to the store, I found that the cart had been taken inside,
but no one had turned in my purse. Well, it was tempting to get into fear
at that moment, but on the way home again, I began to praise God for
protecting my purse, and I said, “I believe that by the time I get home,
you’re going to have a message on my answering machine telling me that
someone found my purse and that I need to call and then come and get it.”
Within ten minutes I arrived home, saw my answering machine blinking, and
heard this message: “This is . . ., and I found your purse, so please call
. . .” Within twenty minutes I had retrieved my purse.
I asked the
man, “Did I leave it in the cart?” He said, “Yes, and we were sure you’d
miss it at any moment, turn around and come back for it, but when you kept
driving, we watched the cart for a time, not sure what to do. Then we saw
two src
90. Perhaps you’ve never thought of it this way before but I want you to
consider this:
It is our choice whether or not to let circumstances and stress,
trials and burdens steal our joy and victory. The devil will always try to
distract us with endless pressures, trials and burdens, but no matter how
hard they seem,
we have the choice to take up our authority and say, “Listen,
Satan, no matter what you throw at me, I will still praise the Lord. The
more you throw at me the louder and longer I will praise my God! So, be on
notice, Satan, that you will never defeat me, because I am a child of the
king, joint heirs with Jesus, empowered by the Word, and able to defeat
you by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony. The more you
hit me with, the louder I will praise and worship God. So the question is,
‘How much can you take?’”
At times
like these, we must see God as all-sufficient, and say to Him, “Lord, as
your child I admit this is too much for me to deal with, so what do you
want to do to prove that You love me and that your promises are true? I
set this problem in your lap, asking you to fill me daily with a new
filling of your spirit, so I can see and believe You have already taken
care of it, in Jesus’ mighty name. I’m excited to see You move on my
behalf!” Then we need to stand in faith, and believe He’s working things
out.
Just like
Gideon, (see Judges 6:13) who saw himself as weak and young and
inexperienced—the least of his tribe, the Lord is saying to us that we are
mighty warriors in the power of His might. So we need to speak those words
over ourselves, seeing ourselves as strong, empowered
overcomers--victorious because Jesus took every problem, every defeat,
every evil plan, every negative emotion, and crucified them with Him on
the cross, so we could stand strong in the face of adversity. The
incredible truth is that the victory is already ours, in the past tense.
If we tell ourselves the truth, we will be able to go on the offensive,
instead of always seeing ourselves running from our enemy. Once we can see
ourselves as victorious and strong in the power of His might, and begin
operating that way, quoting the Word back to our enemy, we will no longer
have the ups and downs and insecurity that often haunts our lives. We no
longer have to feel hunted, pursued and cornered. We can tell ourselves
that we are loved (see 1 John. 4:18) with an everlasting and perfect love
that casts out fear and once we are secure we can change strategies and go
from defensive to offensive. Joshua 23:10 (NLT) says:
“Each one of you will put to flight
a thousand of the enemy, for the Lord your God fights for you, just as He
has promised.” Truly, we are more than conquerors through Him who
loves us, so let’s live as if it’s so!
